Horse/pony club - now taking names of kids/teens interested in horses and ponies.  Starting up late summer/fall 2009.
Owning or having your own horse or pony is not required,  however,  we do have a limited number of horses/ponies available for leasing and possible sale.  Email for more info. lmcponies@aol.com

Horse & Pony Camp - 2009  Dates:  

$175.  9 am to noon. Same low rates !

June 15 - 19, June 22 - 26 *,  June 29 - July 3,  July 6 - 10, 

July 13 - 17,  July 20 - 24,  July 27 - 31.

* Full day 9 to 4 - $275 - available for this week;  other full day weeks may be offered

as enrollement requires.  Call for updates : )

If your child or teen is a beginner or has not ridden in a while, we recommend

 (but not required) bringing him/her for lessons prior to the beginning of camp.

First show of 2008

A fun show day for riders,  grooms and groom-in-training.  Coming back to the barn with ribbons and a trophy - how can it not be?  Battling the 90 degree heat in early June was the only

not-so-fun part, (lots of water and healthy drinks for horses and people,  cold towels,  fans) but it's all part of the dedication that was displayed in our love of horses and the sport.

Bombproofing Clinic by Joanne Kricker of the Fair Hill Mounted Patrol.

A fun and informative day was had by horses, some staff members and manager of SCF on April 12, 2008 at the
clinic. Berks Equine Council's bombproofing clinic helped Goldy, our almost three year old Haflinger mare, and Magic,
our reliable quarterhorse develop more confidence and trust with their partners - both unmounted and
mounted. The horses passed many scarey objects, walked on various surfaces including a Mattress ! , and
practiced opening and closing gates. Other horses attending were dressage competitors, western ridden
horses and horses who enjoy other disciplines of riding. Everyone found the workshop beneficial. We're
looking forward to attending again next year with SCF lesson horses and/or boarder(s)' horse(s).
